Can you use AI to write software/program code?
Yes. There are already a number of AI tools available on the market for this, and we have tested several of them. AI tools can currently be used to reduce development times and generate suggestions for good code, but you still need to quality-assure their output to ensure well-performing and secure code. However, initial tests already show that it is possible today to reduce development times by at least 50% using the tools available.
How do I use AI in daily operations/work?
AI is already in use and supports a number of daily operational use cases. It can be used to help you draft business letters, proposals, or other types of communication. AI can create entire webpages, analyse large amounts of data for you, and make decisions based on that data. Through publicly available services and language models, you can ask almost anything and receive plausible answers. However, you still cannot fully trust AI engines. Their answers rely on how they have been trained, and AI also tends to try to please the user, sometimes giving answers that may not be 100% accurate but rather guesses or based on what the engine believes you want to hear.
How do I use AI to analyze data?
This is currently one of the most common AI use cases in businesses. There are already several AI/ML tools available to help you structure and analyze data, enabling you to make more informed business decisions based on real-world information.
What risks are there with AI today?
There are several risks with AI today. You don’t really know how the tools have been trained, how their responses are influenced, or where your data ends up if you share it with a publicly available service. This is why you should be careful when using AI today and not trust it fully. However, it can still be a great tool and assistant in your daily work when used in the right way and with its challenges in mind.
How can I use AI if I don't want to risk sharing my data with the whole Internet?
Don’t worry - there are different solutions available for those who want to use AI without sharing their data. There are both regional, cloud-based solutions (GDPR compliant) and on-prem solutions available for organisations that handle sensitive data.
I have heard that AI models consumes a lot of computing power. How can I utilise AI without having to invest millions in new HW?
There are various solutions to this. You can make agreements with cloud providers to access the computing power you need, only when you need it. Regional cloud providers can give you the required capacity while keeping your data relatively safe through agreements and security features.
